Kick off your fall at Advent Christian Village (ACV) on Saturday, Oct. 7, at the eighth annual Autumn Fest. Come enjoy a morning of fall festivities, flavors, sights and sounds.
The annual event traditionally includes a variety of vendors selling their wares from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Village Square. Everything from jewelry to toys to outdoor furniture and an array of hand-crafted items will be available to browse and buy. Food items will also be for sale — outside and also inside both the Village Grocer and the Village Café.
On display and for sale in the Village Lodge office will be several artistic renderings by local artists. The works of art are framed and reasonably priced.
While you browse, DJ Scott Carroll will be providing music for your listening enjoyment. Periodic live entertainment will be provided by Sweet Harmony, a local trio of ladies who enjoy singing classics such as “Rockin’ Robin.”
Also taking place at the Village Square that day, starting at 9 a.m., is the fourth annual Cruizin on the Suwannee Auto & Truck Show. This event, sponsored by Advent Christian Village, will benefit disadvantaged children. The auto show will feature factory muscle cars, but will also include an assortment of antique cars, street rods, and trucks. The participating autos will be judged and are eligible to win various awards. Attendance to the show is free; car enthusiasts who would like to participate will pay $20 per auto. Visit www.acvillage.net/ACVautoshow for more information.
Please join us on Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. until noon for what promises to be a grand beginning to the fall season.
